Wood

Focusing on the two most commonly used Wood Products - MDF & Plywood

MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a specifically engineered material manufactured by breaking down wood residuals into fine particles, combining it with wax and resin binder and applying high heat & pressure. MDF is often prefered for a cheaper alternative of wood, that requires a smooth finish for painting.

MDF is most commonly used for Indoor Applications that will be painted such as Cabinets, Shelving, Mouldings, Craft and Signage.

Plywood is a specifically engineered wood product manufactured by pressing and binding sheets of wood veneer together into one solid piece. Benefits of Plywood are the multiple layers of wood vaneer allowing a stronger product that is able to hold screws due to the varying grains of wood on each layer they are able to hold onto.

Plywood is most commonly used for Construction & Building Purposes such as Doors, Stairs and Flooring.
