Wood

Focusing on the two most commonly used Wood Products - MDF & Plywood

MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a specifically engineered material manufactured by breaking down wood residuals into fine particles, combining it with wax and resin binder and applying high heat & pressure. MDF is often prefered for a cheaper alternative of wood, that requires a smooth finish for painting.

MDF is most commonly used for Indoor Applications that will be painted such as Cabinets, Shelving, Mouldings, Craft and Signage.

Plywood is a specifically engineered wood product manufactured by pressing and binding sheets of wood veneer together into one solid piece. Benefits of Plywood are the multiple layers of wood vaneer allowing a stronger product that is able to hold screws due to the varying grains of wood on each layer they are able to hold onto.

Plywood is most commonly used for Construction & Building Purposes such as Doors, Stairs and Flooring.

Laser Wizard stock multiple grades & thicknesses of both MDF & Plywood.

Prior to the Easter Break we needed some marine ply cut urgently. Laser Wizard committed to the tight project time-frames without hesitation, and at a competitive price. The ply was cut as promised - on time and with absolute accuracy. Simon and co delivered a level of service that was simply amazing, and not easily found today.
